Word Safari
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Word Safari handles information when
you use the mobile app.
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Word Safari is designed for children and families. The app does not
require an account to play. Core learning content and learner progress
are stored locally on the device.
1. Information We Collect
Word Safari is designed to collect as little information as
possible directly from users.
-
Progress data stored on the device: the app saves
learning progress, stars, badges, goals, sound settings, and
similar gameplay state locally on the device.
-
No account information: the app does not require
users to create an account or provide a name, email address, or
password to use core features.
-
No user-generated content: the app does not
include chat, social posting, photo upload, or similar features.
2. How Information Is Used
Information handled by the app is used to:
- save learner progress on the device,
- unlock and display rewards and achievements,
- remember app preferences such as sound settings, and
- support app features such as text-to-speech playback.
3. Advertising and Purchases
Current release builds of Word Safari include advertising through
Google Mobile Ads and offer a one-time in-app purchase to remove
ads.
-
Ads: third-party advertising services may collect
device, usage, or technical information in accordance with their
own privacy practices.
-
In-app purchases: purchases are processed by the
Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not directly by Word Safari.
-
Store providers: Apple and Google may collect
transaction-related and device-related information under their own
terms and privacy policies.
You should review the privacy policies of the relevant platform and
service providers for more information:
4. Children's Privacy
Word Safari is intended for children and families. We do not
knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly
through the app to use its core educational features.
Because release builds include third-party advertising and in-app
purchase functionality, parents or guardians should review the
privacy practices of those service providers and the device store
account settings used on the device.
5. Data Storage and Retention
-
Learner progress saved by the app is stored locally on the device.
-
If the app is deleted, locally stored app data may also be
removed, depending on the device platform.
-
Third-party providers such as Apple, Google, or Google Mobile Ads
may retain information according to their own policies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information collected directly by the app.
Information may be shared with third-party service providers only to
the extent their SDKs or platform services are used in the app, such
as:
- Google Mobile Ads for advertising,
- Apple App Store for iOS purchases and app distribution, and
- Google Play for Android purchases and app distribution.
7. Your Choices
-
You can stop using the app at any time and delete it from your
device.
-
You can remove locally stored progress by clearing app data or
reinstalling the app, depending on the platform.
-
You can purchase the optional Remove Ads feature through the
relevant app store if available in your region and store account.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we
will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
